Aha Toro Anejo

The first sip of this tequila wasn't too bad. But it never got any better and it only took perhaps 30 minutes for it to start getting worse. Very disappointing for an anejo (especially one that's put on the shelf next to the Patron and the Corralejo). Unfortunately I wasn't taking notes at the time or I'd have more detail on what was so not good about this one, but I'm not expecting much from the as-yet-unopened bottle of Aha Toro Reposado... Just to be fair I'll have to share this one with Josh and Steve.

The only thing that is even close to right with this tequila is the color. I caught a slight whiff of rubbing alcohol, it has no legs to speaks of and the taste is that of a middle shelf (at best (after already getting drunk)) bottle. As if the first sip wasn't bad enough after letting it sit for 10-15 minutes the second (and last) sip made me gag, my eyes watered and I made a really funny face. My guess is the entire line of Aha Toro tequilas do not deserve to be on the top of any shelf.

In short: this shit is pretty nasty and not by any means recommended nor endorsed by the Tequila Club.
